It’s Wednesday evening. Maya is at home because she has an online English class at eight o’clock. Right now, she is sitting at her desk, wearing a gray sweater and using her laptop.
Her brother Leo is in the kitchen. He is making sandwiches for everyone. Their mom is talking on the phone, and their dad is in the living room. He usually works late on Wednesdays, but tonight he isn’t working. He is watching a football game.
Maya’s friend Julia sends her a message: “What are you doing right now?” Maya writes back: “I’m studying English. Wait a minute — my class is starting. I have to go!”
After class, Maya and Leo are planning to watch a movie. But right now, everyone in the house is busy doing something different.
